Part 4 Homage UPS Review

My  Requirement
My initial and least requirement was
2 Ceiling Fans 56"
1 Energy Saver 23 Watt

For this requirement after a lot of searching at web I decided to purchase
Homage Single battery 1000Va  UPS with ordinary 165Amp Automotive Battery
My system worked flawless UPS and Battery didn't gave me any problems
Battery water consumption is normal I check it every month and pour some
water collected from my Air-conditioner

However with  Pakistani devastating power failure intervals this UPS setup couldn't meet my
requirement I live in Lahore's commercial area where power failure intervals are more than
residential are, in normal days it is 12 hours,In 24 hours with One hour On and On hour Off
and in worst days it is One hour On and Two hour Off
These intervals are not enough to provide full charge to battery

In my observation this setup is good to keep One Fan runnign no matter what the power failure
intervals would be  But it cannot handle Two Fans load

In normal 12 hour Load Shedding i.e With one hour On and One hour Off I run One fan
in Day and in Night Two Fans and so far it is working

If you are planning to buy a Homage UPS and have same power failure intervals and Load requirement
then I would suggest to buy Two batteries of same 165amp capacity I'm not sure if this UPS can handle
charging of two heavy battries but as per manual you can attach as many batteries in parallel as you want

Although  Homage UPS is far better than Locally made UPS but if  one can afford
I will not recommend him to buy this UPS consider buying some imported Pure Sign wave UPS

And if you really want to buy Homage or similar quality anyother chinese brand UPS like Murcury etc
then keep in mind that a Luck factor will always play a significant role, Your UPS might fail anytime
In initial days of my usage I heard a strange buzzing current sound but fortunatly it went away by itself
